Vancouver Skiers WhatsApp Group “VancSkiers”
The club has a WhatsApp group for members to post:
- Adhoc ski meetups at Cypress or Callaghan, and
- Offers to or requests for carpooling to ski venues.
To join the group, you need to install WhatsApp on your phone to set up an account and send your cellphone number to carpooling@theskiers.ca. The Admin will send you an invite to join the group.
If you are posting an offer to drive, include the area where you are willing to pick up from and compensation for you as the driver. Optional formula for calculating driving cost: Round trip distance divided by 3. From Downtown Vancouver to Cypress Mountain Hollyburn Nordic Area this works out to about $17 to be shared amongst number of people in the car, to Whistler Olympic Park it is about $80. Driver compensation is at the discretion of the driver.
Participation in this group is restricted to members of Vancouver Skiers. All posts must be respectful of other users and related to cross country skiing.
