We will enjoy the comfort and convenience of village life at the Coast Sundance Lodge. Excellent cross-country ski trails, downhill ski slopes, and a multitude of shops and restaurants are right at our doorstep. Trip leaves Friday morning.
This has been our most popular trip for the past few years. Skiers stay at the Coast Sundance Hotel where rooms accommodate two Skiers in a queen bed (or 2 single beds). Each room has a full kitchen. On Friday, en route to Sun Peaks, we will ski at Stake Lake Nordic Center where 60 kilometers of trails are groomed for classic and skate skiing. As an option, skiers can bring their snowshoes to explore the 13 km of picturesque snowshoe trails. A heated cabin provides a welcome break for lunch. Skiers can also enjoy a snack break at one of the many shelters found alongside the main trails. We head toward Kamloops in the afternoon, arriving at Sun Peaks in time for dinner. On Saturday and Sunday, we'll ski Sun Peaks where cross-country skiers can enjoy over 34 km of groomed trails suitable for classic and skate skiing. Nordic lift tickets include a ride up the mountain on the Morrisey Express Chairlift. Skiers can then glide down "Holy Cow" and ski to McGillivray Lakes Outpost warming hut. Downhill skiers can check out the 4270 acres of terrain which extends across three mountains (the second largest downhill skiing site in Canada).
