The Vancouver Skiers

Welcome to our 2018-2019 season!

Based in Vancouver, British Columbia, the Vancouver Skiers club organizes bus trips to various cross-country ski destinations including Silver Star/Sovereign Lakes (Vernon), Larch Hills (Salmon Arm), Stake Lake (near Kamloops), Callaghan/Whistler, China Ridge (Princeton) and Nickel Plate (Penticton). Our members include classic skiers, skate skiers, and snowshoers, ranging in skill levels and ages. Join the Vancouver Skiers and meet new friends, socialize, discover new ski areas, improve your fitness level and learn new skills.

To Become a Member

To become a Vancouver Skiers member you can register and pay online (our preferred method), register and pay by mail, or hand deliver membership, waiver forms, and payment to an executive member at the next Vancouver Skiers event. At present, for the 2017/2018 season, the Vancouver Skiers has 243 club members.

To Register for a Trip

To sign-up for a Vancouver Skiers trip, members can register online or through the Trip Leader. (Trip Leader contact information is shown on each Trip page; see the Trip Schedule.) For detailed information on how to sign-up for a trip, please go to the Trip Information page. 

Our Objectives

The Vancouver Skiers is a non-profit society. Its objectives are:

To help its members engage and enjoy, as safely as possible, cross-country skiing, and related activities,
To promote the development of facilities for cross-country skiing,
To encourage the growth of cross-country skiing as a sport, and
To provide encouragement for those of its members who wish to participate in various cross-country ski events.

BC Punch Pass

 For the 2018/19 ski seasonCCBC is once again offering the BC Punch Pass. The pass gives you discounts on trail tickets at many BC cross-country areas, 5 of which are on our schedule. 

The 5 areas are:
- Sovereign Lake (twice)
- Telemark (twice)
- Nickel Plate
- Overlander (Stake Lake - three times)
- Golden (Dawn Mountain)

If you plan to ski these areas, the Punch Pass is worth purchasing.  Passes can be shared between skiers and 100% of proceeds go to BC clubs and programs with 50% of our members’ purchases going to our club.
